Bariatric Surgery Programs

The IMC Center for Nutrition & Weight Management offers a surgical/comprehensive weight management program that provides both pre- and post-surgical support and nutrition products designed for use after bariatric surgery. We also offer a weight loss program to help people who have managed to put weight back on after bariatric surgery. (Re-lose the Re-Gain)

Pre-surgical Weight Loss Program

The pre-surgical weight loss program is offered to patients with a BMI of 40 or greater who have made several "formal" attempts at weight loss and are now considering bariatric surgery. The pre-surgical weight loss program involves medical monitoring, a full-formula meal replacement diet such as OPTIFAST^®, and lifestyle education to promote pre-surgical weight loss.

Post-surgical Program

The post-surgical component of the bariatric program provides ongoing behavioral counseling to help patients adapt to their new lifestyle, nutritional counseling, and the use of stimuli-narrowing meal replacement products. These products are specifically formulated supplements designed to meet the special nutritional needs of our patients.

Re-lose the Re-gain

This program is designed to help people who have re-gained weight after their bariatric surgery to re-lose that weight. It combines a full-formula meal replacement diet with behavioral counseling and medical monitoring.
