Behavioral Therapists Tania Bruner, MS, LLP Tania Bruner is a clinical psychologist with expertise in health psychology. She has worked in private practice with individuals and groups for many years. Her career in weight management began in 1998 when she served as Behavioral Group Leader/Facilitator with several hospital-based obesity treatment programs in Flint and Rochester Hills. Tania has also taught community and corporate outreach programs. She enjoys helping people learn to lead healthier lives by making lifestyle changes. Tania has a background in animal behavior (ethnology) and also has experience with canine obedience training, behavioral consulting, and pet therapy. In her free time, Tania enjoys running and has implemented sports psychology principles into our programs for weight management patients.
Jacqueline Sova, MS, LLP Jackie is a clinical psychologist who has studied extensively, both professionally and personally, in the area of eating disorders. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, with highest honors, from the University of Michigan-Flint, and was awarded the Maize and Blue Award for Distinguished Scholarship. Jackie earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, with highest honors, from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She specialized in eating disorders during her internship at Snow Counseling Center.
In addition, Jackie has done a wide variety of post-graduate trainings, including 3 different year-long training programs in the areas of psychotherapy, life coaching, and eating disorders. She has attended dozens of professional training workshops, professional conferences and personal/professional growth/enrichment programs. This training enables Jackie to give presentations and lead workshops dealing with emotional eating and body image issues. Jackie's interest in working with eating issues began when she went through this program in 1991. Having successfully lost the weight she desired to lose, she set out on a personal and professional quest to understand the underlying dynamics beneath the struggle with compulsive/emotional overeating, and under-eating. Jackie currently works as a psychotherapist, facilitating a diverse population of clients. She works with mental and emotional issues, but her passion is ignited when working with those who struggle with eating disorders and body image issues. |
